Torro Torro have been building a ton of buzz out of Toronto. Their driving electro-house is full of vibrant sounds, thoughtful arrangement, and diversity. Although the duo has only existed in the web world since late this Summer, Yo Ev and Mikey Digits are no strangers to music, production and DJing. The pairs rap sheet of music study, club DJing and studio production has brought them both around the world; from live performances throughout Europe, Africa and North America; club play from the dancefloors of Scala (London) to the Guvernment (Toronto); over 5 years of FM radio broadcasting and finally to the soundtracks of a number of hit TV shows on MTV.
Since Torro Torro’s birth the summer of 2009:
- They have been charted by Lee Mortimer (Warehouse/Dubsided), AutoErotique (DIM MAK)
- Rocked shows from 600 to 2000 people- with four sold out shows in Toronto at Wrongbar and The Social
- Attracted 60-120 daily listens on myspace
- Gained initial recognition with their remixes to Jully Black’s “Running”, AutoErotique’s “Gladiator”, Barletta’s "Panther ", Sydney Samson’s "Riverside ", Rye Rye’s “Bang” and Crookers "Put Your Hands On Me ".
- Their latest remix was created at the request of Universal Music for songstress Jully Black. Jully is commonly known for her work with Nas, Missy Elliot, Sean Paul and Kardinal Offishal.
- Released the popular “My First Sweater” Mix, December 2009.
